The GST e-tax guide has been updated on the exemption of Investment Precious Metals (IPM), with more examples of qualifying bars, ingots and wafers. In order to qualify as an Investment Precious Metal (IPM), it doesn’t matter even if there is a design of Mickey Mouse on the gold bar as long as they are accepted by the international bullion markets for trading and the trading prices are based on their precious metal contents.
